We are Betar, We Couldn’t Be Prouder. And if you don’t like it, we will shout a little louder.

Betar is the world-wide Zionist movement founded in 1923 that refuses to be silent. As our founder the great Ze’ev Jabotinsky taught “Silence is despicable.”

Now, almost 100 years after its creation in 1923, Betar USA is bringing back our tradition of standing up and speaking out. The era of strong, tough, proud Jews is back and necessary. There has never been a better time and never been a more important need.
Betar has a strong focus on traditional Zionist values together with Zionist ideals in a time of apathy and weakness. Our movement founded in the ideals of Ze’ev Jabotinsky continues with the movements central historical principles.
Betar is a Zionist movement, meaning that we firmly believe in the self determination of the Jewish Nation in our historical homeland, the Land of Israel.
Betar’s ideology core universal values are:
Hadar, the idea that respect for one’s self and all other people is absolutely essential, and Tagar, the notion that we stand up for what we believe in.
These are the foundations of Betar’s ideology.
The duty and aim of Betar is very simple though difficult: to create a "normal", "healthy" Jew. The greatest difficulty is encountered because, as a nation, the Jews today are neither "normal" nor "healthy".  During two thousand years of exile, the Jewish nation lost the habit of concentrating its willpower on an all important task, lost the habit of acting in unison as a people, lost the ability to defend itself, instead, the Jews became accustomed to shouts rather than deeds, to disorder and disorganization, to negligence.
Betar USA is here to stand up as Zionist Jews in the spirit of Ze’ev Jabotinsky: strongly, loudly and proudly.
