MISSION
Betar US – the North American arm of the international movement of Ze’ev Jabotinsky – has re-arisen and since being reformed in the summer of 2024 have had a tremendous impact. We have been the most active in real life Zionist activist organization in America with a presence in many cities and many successes to speak of.
Betar is here to recruit, develop and empower Jews to be leaders and defenders of Zion, the nation of Israel, on campus, in cities, in the media, in business communities and on the streets. We are loud, proud, aggressive and unapologetically Zionist. We aren’t the nice, polite Jews we are the loud proud Zionists. We are online and offline and we are direct, clear and proud Betarim.
Simply, this 100 year old Zionist organization which has branches worldwide has formed chapters throughout the US – from Washington, DC to New Orleans, Dallas to New York – and in a few short months shown exactly why we are needed to stand strong and loud and proud. The State of Israel would not exist without Jabotinsky followers and we expect and believe we will take action and lead in a way on campus and off in a way others have not.
We are facing a civilizational challenge which the Jewish American community is unequipped to handle. The simple theme which will be at the center of everything which we do and publish will be #JEWSFIGHTBACK
There is a complete leadership gap in the American Jewish community of brave Jews willing to stand up in deed and in act. Rooted in the enduring spirit of Betar, our leadership team stands as Jewish warriors intent to revive and regrow Betar into a formidable movement throughout the United States.
We draw inspiration from the resilience of past generations warriors and the vision of Ze’ev Jabotinsky, adapting his legacy to the needs and challenges of today’s antisemitism.
Betar is a bold Zionist movement dedicated to defending Israel”s legitimacy and strengthening the Jewish connection to the land of Israel. Founded in 1923 by Ze”ev Jabotinsky in Latvia, Betar has a proud history of empowering Jews to stand strong in the face of antisemitism, advocate for Israel, and embrace their heritage.
As one of the oldest Zionist organizations, Betar has played a vital role in Zionist education, promoting the Hebrew language and culture, teaching self-defense, and inspiring aliyah to Eretz Israel by any means necessary. Guided by Jabotinsky”s vision and the values exemplified by Joseph Trumpeldor, Betar remains steadfast in its commitment to liberty, democracy, and building a thriving Jewish state.
Betar has shaped history through its leaders, including Israeli Prime Ministers Menachem Begin and Yitzchak Shamir, as well as Benzion Netanyahu, father of PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Our legacy of self-defense, activism, and Jewish leadership continues to inspire the next generation.
Since our revival in 2024, Betar has made a powerful impact across the U.S. and is just getting started. We are recruiting, developing, and empowering Jews to become unapologetic Zionist leaders—defending Israel on campuses, in communities, and across all platforms.

Jews Fight Back
The Betar Movement is one of the oldest Zionist movements in the world, started by Ze’ev Jabotinsky in Latvia, 1923. Betar, an acronym for Brit Yosef Trumpeldor has played an important role in Zionist education, in teaching the Hebrew language and culture, and methods of self-defense. It also inculcated the ideals of aliyah to Eretz Israel by any means, legal and “illegal,” and of personal dedication to the creation of a Jewish state.
The Betar ideology originated in a fusion of Jabotinsky ‘s “legionism” with the ideas of personal pioneering and defense exemplified in Joseph Trumpeldor ‘s life and death. The movement has firm beliefs in building an exemplary society in Israel built on ideal of liberty, democracy, and liberalism, and works to increase Alliyah, strengthen the Jewish Identity within its members, and strengthen the belief in settling and constructing every single part of the land of Israel.
More streets are named after Ze’ev Jabotinsky than any leader in Israel and the Betar movement is omni-present in Israel. We are a101 year old worldwide Zionist organization, devoted to strong, tough proud Jewish Zionism and past leaders of Betar include former Israeli Prime Ministers Menachem Begin, Yitzchak Shamir and Benzion Netanyahu, PM Netanyahu’s father.

The Problem

Meta shows 'systemic bias' against pro-Israel content, report finds
A new report by Zionism advocacy group Betar North America this week found a “systemic bias” against pro-Israel content across social media platforms operated by tech giant Meta.
Meta, the group wrote, repeatedly uses shadow bans, account removals and restrictions against users who share pro-Israel and Zionist content. These individuals often “self-censor out of fear” as content supporting Palestine continues to proliferate across these platforms. Read More…
