Message: Shalom U’Vracha, I need your advice and suggestions before I send a letter to the CEO. I drafted this letter: Dear Mr. Palbaum, I am writing to bring to your attention some disturbing incidents of antisemitism that I have experienced while working. As a proud Jewish employee, I am disheartened to report that I have faced discriminatory behavior from some of my crew members. Specifically, I have been questioned about my Jewish stickers and asked to remove my Jewish necklace. These incidents have made me feel uncomfortable, excluded, and disrespected. Furthermore, I have been subjected to antisemitic comments and behavior from crew members who openly wear keffiyehs, a symbol often associated with anti-Israeli and antisemitic ideologies. These individuals also openly support the union and have expressed support for terrorist organizations. This has created a hostile and intimidating work environment, making it difficult for me to perform my job duties. I believe that it is essential for Trader Joe’s to maintain a workplace that is all encompassing, void of discrimination, and respectful of all employees, regardless of their religious background. I would appreciate it if you could take immediate action to address this issue. I respectfully request that Trader Joe’s provide training on antisemitism and Judaism to all employees, particularly those in management and HR positions. This training should aim to educate employees on the history and effects of antisemitism, as well as Jewish culture, traditions, and practices. I also request that the company take disciplinary action against crew members who engage in antisemitic behavior, support terrorist organizations, or promote hate symbols. This is necessary to ensure a safe and respectful work environment for all employees. I hope that you will take steps to ensure that all employees feel welcome and respected. I would appreciate a response regarding the actions you will take to prevent future incidents. Thank
