Ilhan Omar<\/a> was filmed telling a pro-Israel<\/a> protester to ‘f**k’ themselves in a shocking outburst near Capitol<\/a> Hill last night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The progressive Democratic firebrand<\/a> was confronted by the protester as she rushed into an elevator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protester challenged the congressional<\/a> ‘Squad’ member on her rhetoric, telling her: ‘Go to Gaza, sweetheart’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar responded angrily, yelling: ‘F**k you!’ before the doors of the elevator closed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protester was part of the Betar US group, which has made horrific threats against Omar’s fellow Squad member Rashida Tlaib<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one post, the group threatened Tlaib with a reference to Israel’s pager bomb attack<\/a> on members of Hezbollah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘We will come back again and again,’ they said, adding a pager emoji along with the threat: ‘We have for you’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DailyMail.com has reached out to a spokesperson for Omar seeking comment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ilhan Omar had no patience or good graces for a pro-Israel protester who told her to ‘Go to Gaza, sweetheart.’ She responded simply: ‘F**k you!’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar survived a primary challenge earlier this year and easily cruised to re-election in Minnesota’s 5th District. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the win, Omar avoided the same fate as two of her progressive Squad colleagues who have been ousted in recent months: Reps. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., and Cori Bush<\/a>, D-Mo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pro-Israel groups did not put up the big-dollar donations behind Samuels that they did for Bush and Bowman’s challengers, Wesley Bell and George Latimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar, the first Somali-American elected to Congress, took her seat in 2018 when she won by more than 70 percent of the vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congres<\/a>s, along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the outbreak of war in Gaza<\/a>, the typically united House Democrats have found themselves torn apart on the matter of Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar is a favorite target of Republicans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019 she was forced to apologize for saying AIPAC and Jewish people were trying to buy influence<\/a>: ‘It\u2019s all about the Benjamins, baby.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Omar’s vulgar response, she immediately gets in the elevator and the doors close<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, Republicans reacted with dismay when she said some Jewish students are ‘pro-genocide.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘I think it is really unfortunate that people don’t care about the fact that all Jewish kids should be kept safe, and that we should not have to tolerate antisemitism or bigotry for all Jewish students, whether they’re pro-genocide or anti-genocide,’ she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January House GOP Whip Tom Emmer demanded an Ethics investigation<\/a> into reports that Omar said she is ‘Somalia first.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bush, meanwhile, had faced heavy opposition due to her pro-Palestinian stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Wesley Bell’s victory and Cori Bush’s defeat underscore what we’ve seen in races across the country and throughout this election cycle \u2014 being pro-Israel is not just wise policy, but also smart politics,’ said Mark Mellman, chairman of the Democratic Majority for Israel PAC, in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar to Bush’s race against Bell, Bowman’s race in New York hinged on a key issue: the Israel-Hamas war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bowman, a fellow member of the Squad (at least for now before he leaves Congress this winter), fiercely defended Palestinians and decried the Israeli’s actions as ‘genocide.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His reward for repeatedly attacking the Jewish nation’s wartime conduct: a pro-Israel SuperPAC coming after him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIPAC, a pro-Israel political group, spent massively against Bowman, pumping millions upon millions into the campaign of a local county executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the support of the group, Westchester County Executive Latimer, a moderate Democrat, sailed to an easy primary win, securing over 59 percent of the vote compared to Bowman’s 40 percent.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
