MISSION: JEWS FIGHT BACK!

As our founder Ze’ev Jabotinsky said, “Silence Is Despicable”

We are a Zionist educational organization with a simple mission of educating and motivating Jews to be proud, string – and to create the type of Jew that the people need. We host speaker programs, educational events of all sorts and educational programs that brings Jews from all over the world to love Israel, creating a love of the land, the state and its people, strengthening the connection to communities in all parts of the Land of Israel.

Betar leadership across the globe conduct a variety of value-based educational programs in the spirit of Jabotinsky’s vision.

Activities can be divided into number of areas:

Our Mission is to lead Jews and Inspire Action. Some specific actions which we have undertaken:

• Among the core principles of Betar activism is aggressive in-person protests. Sit-ins, rallies, more aggressive protesting including non-violent civil disobedience is necessary in these times. We regularly protest loudly and in non-polite manners. We confront board members, kapos, and haters of all sorts.
  • For too long American Jews have been nice and polite. Enough.

• We support those who take action & empower those who do:
  • Betar was first to publicly and loudly support Scott Hayes, a non-Jewish Zionist American army veteran who was attacked at a Pro-Israel protest by a Hamas supporter, and Hayes shot him with a legal weapon.  Betar enlisted five organizations to launch a boycott against Middlesex County’s DA urging her to drop all charges. Noting that Americans have the right to self-defense and calling Hayes a hero, we launched a boycott across Middlesex and Newton with an advertising campaign which included billboards and mobile vans.

• We lead on the ground rallies and protests nationally.

• We will continue to campaign against SJP – Students for Justice for Palestine, one of the most dangerous organizations in the US, which mobilizes students nationally against Israel on campus. We have hosted events from NYU to UCLA, Cooper Union to University of Michigan against today’s Hitler Youth.

• Graffiti/Hate Cleanup:  We don’t wait for antisemitic hate to be erased. Many “document” it. We don’t. Nationwide, our followers and members will go clean up graffiti. We post hateful graffiti praising Hamas or Gaza, and often within hours its cleaned.
  • At the University of Michigan within 2 hours, Am Israel Chai was painted over Free Gaza and in midtown NYC too did our graffiti teams remove hateful graffiti.

• Betar loudly welcomed PM Netanyahu to the UN during his historic speech (the day he ordered the assassination of Hezbollah leader Nasrallah), his speech was loudly interrupted repeatedly by applause.
• We won’t allow haters at the UN to overshine Israel’s PM.
  • We regularly and all over the US bring people to support important programs and strengthen local communities.

• We help Jews who are victims of doxing attacks. Noone is helping Jews who stand up and fight back to mobile and organize. Nothing is wrong with being a Zionist! We are the best and help those who get doxed!
  • Jakob Schanzer, a gay Zionist Jew on the eve of Rosh Hashana painted over Pro-Hamas hate near his New Orleans home and was doxed and threatened. With Betar’s help, Jakob responded and Tulane University received hundreds of letters of support – to contrast the hate they had started to receive urging them to remove Jakob from the school.

 We are first on the scene when there are antisemitic acts.

• • In contrast to local police or university administrators who may brush something under the rug, we are first on the scene, issue rewards and raise the noise level.
  •                 At the University of Michigan and University of Pittsburgh among other places we have offered rewards

We inspire Jews to act nationwide as we challenge them aggressively and loudly against haters. As Jabotinsky spoke of Betarim are “proud, strong and fierce” and too do our actions inspire people.

• We have issued travel warnings to New York and Toronto which has received press coverage. Our online campaigns are supplemented with media. Simply, cities that don’t want Jews shouldn’t receive our money. 

• We offer free legal services to Zionist Jews arrested for protesting for Zionist rights with numerous attorneys involved with this program, including prominent criminal defense attorney Jeff Lichtman (of John Gotti and El Chapo fame)

We have unique social media programs and campaigns, and we will continue to raise awareness on many issues. Betar will work in communities and connect local areas to colleges. One of the largest gaps we have found is that local communities face dangers alone as do universities, without a common connection between them.

BETAR US is devoted to actions which others will not take. Our 100 year old Zionist organization, which has branches worldwide has shown exactly why we are needed to stand strong and loud and proud. The state of Israel would not exist without Jabotinsky followers and we expect and believe we will take action and lead in a way on campus and off in a way others have not.

We are facing a civilizational challenge which the Jewish American community is unequipped to handle. The simple theme at the center of everything which we do #JEWSFIGHTBACK
